DOQQ stands for Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quandrangle. DOQQ maps are basically just aerial photos with map qualities. When aerial photos are taken the camera lens causes distortions because of the terrian and camera tilt. With DOQQ these distortions are removed with the digital image making the picture more of a true map. The map above is an aerial photo of Texas.
