This is a Windrose chart. I windrose chart is used to chart wind. The direction and the speed is charted for a specific area over some time period. The chart above describes the wind in Tucson, Arizona. This windorse was developed my meterologist for the month of Febuary. As you can tell by the chart the wind blew most often towards the south east.
