In unclassified Choropleth maps a color scheme is used to show the different values. This map shows the fertility levels countries in Europe. As you can tell by the map Albania has the highest fertility levels that are at 2.27 and Bulgaria has the lowest at 1.13. Since Albania is the highest the color of that country is dark and the lower the number gets correlates with lighter shades of brown.
